The 1990s were an innovative time for the world where people were being introduced to new ideas, concepts, and just an overall new way of living. In 1993, Fujian Taison Industrial Co. Ltd. was established and added its name to the innovation conversation as packaging, printing, and paper converting company. Eighteen years after the establishment of The Taison Group, WR Fibers Inc. was founded in Southern California with the ambition of becoming the leading exporter of recovered scrap metal, plastic, and wastepaper in the world. Not until 2014, after 21 diligent years of packaging, printing, and converting to become the third-largest packaging supplier and craft paper mill in China, did Taison boldly venture into the bamboo pulp making industry. That year, Taison looked to venturing out on a sustainable new journey in bamboo paper production. The goal was to use bamboo instead of wood as a raw material for papermaking and become a more ecologically conscious company. By 2015, after only a year of working with bamboo, Taison confidently entered the finished tissue industry space, ready to focus on the needs of the average, eco-conscious consumer. The sustainable, 100% bamboo paper products, like toilet paper, facial tissue, and paper towels, were a hit with consumers who value high quality and care about the earth. Since 2015, The Taison Group has worked to become the largest bamboo pulp and tissue paper producer in the entire world with 1 million acres of bamboo forest and six bamboo pulp and tissue paper mills in production.
