The Dandy roll in this case is constructed in the same fashion as that of a Plain wove Dandy roll. Instead of a Plain wove cover, specially manufactured open ended wire cloth with Laid wires and Chain wires is mounted on the spiral backing wire of the Dandy roll and sewed to the body of the Dandy roll. These Dandy rolls are exclusively used for manufacture of Leger or laid papers. |
